£75,000 towards work electric vehicle charging points

electric vehicle charging points

An accountant in Bolton has just received £4250 for installing five workplace electric vehicle charging points…

How?

We’ve helped claim it in grants through a new government scheme called the ‘fleet and employee grant’.

The government want companies (less than 250 employees) to install a bank of electric vehicle charging points to charge their own EV fleet and to let their employees charge at work as they migrate to electric vehicles.

And they want companies to do it now, saying you don’t need to have an electric vehicle to claim the grant.

But be aware, this grant won’t be around for long, once the pot of money has been spent the grant will disappear and you’ll be paying full price.

So it’s in your financial interest to install the EV chargers now, even if you don’t use them for a while, and you can even claim the 130% super deduction tax too.

It’s a minimum of installing five electric vehicle charging points at the same time, which gives you £4250 in a grant, and each additional charger (installed at the same time) gives you another £850 on top, up to a maximum of £15,000 for each site.

And if your company is multisite, you can do this across five sites, making the possible grant monies available to you up to £75,000
