EV charger grants for adventure company

ev charger grants anderton centre

We visted fellow Shout Network members the Anderton Centre to discuss electric vehicle charging points for their net zero project…

What a fabulous place this is, nestled on the banks of lower Rivington reservoir near Chorley, surrounded by fields and woodland.

David Germian (Managing Director) is doing a wonderful job positioning the Anderton Centre as the premier Northwest activity based adventure location for both children and adults.

The Anderton Centre offers high quality and unique experiences for education establishments, community groups, voluntary organisations, friendship groups and corporate organisations.

Using adventure and problem solving activities (on and off the water) to build confidence, increase self-esteem, develop teamwork, independence, whilst having lots of fun along the way.

Along side their excellent outdoor facilities, they’ve a number of available conference rooms and large dining facilities, which are perfect for corporate away days or weekend working retreats.

David and his team are very forward thinking, and are already planning an extension to their accomodation block and changing facilties, to cope with an ongoing increase in bookings.

Being connected to the landscape, the environment is front of mind at the Anderton Centre, which is why David is already some way down the track on their journey to net zero.

Electric vehicles and charging facilities are next on the agenda.

Today was an education session, understanding what EV charging facilities are required, against what government grants we can link into the project.

The next phase is to carryout a free consultation and site survey, which will drive a out a ‘no obligation’ quotation with scope of works, including the available grants we can apply.

Why not be clever like the Anderton Centre, and use the grants to install EV charge points on your workplace whilst the grants are still available, as once the money runs out you’ll be paying full price.
