Training organisation leads the way with electric fleet

Established in 1969, NLTG is one of the largest independent training providers in the country and pride themselves on the quality of services they deliver to their learners and employers.

NLTG provide workplace training for all ages, including apprenticeships, traineeships, existing employees and the unemployed.

They have a large fleet of company and employee vehicles, which over the forthcoming years will change to electric vehicles, and we’ve been helping them on their electrification journey.

Initially providing domestic and workplace charge point help and advice in an open round table environment – which has quickly moved forward to reality – with NLTG recently taking delivery of their first batch of electrical vehicles.

Following a further consultation and site survey phase 1 saw the installation of two Wallbox Copper SB 22Kw super-fast charge points on an initial building, followed by four fast home charge points.

The switch to electrification was now moving quickly, with NLTG identifying a further building with a separate incoming main, which could be (potentially) used to install extra fleet charge points.

Following a successful survey on the second building – it was good news – there was enough spare electric capacity to install two twin 22kw super-fast Project EV wall mounted charge points.

This solution provides NLTG with an additional four 22Kw super-fast charge points – to ensure its safe – we installed a load balancing device to evenly balance the power when four cars are charging.

As a government approved charge point installer, our role is to help companies access the grant system, and as part of our consultation we helped NLTG save £3,500.00 over these two projects.
