Are you a business centre manager?

business centre

Calling all business centre landlords…

The time is coming when your tenants will be migrating to electric vehicles and will be expecting their Landlord to provide a solution so they can charge them.

It’s true, the UK government will stop production of all petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030 and hybrids just 5 years later in 2035.

This will naturally drive the market toward electric vehicles over the forthcoming years.

Interestingly, the change is already happening with company vehicle owners leading the charge, due to large personal tax savings and savings in fuel and vehicle maintenance costs to the organisation.

The cost to buy an electric vehicle is still relatively high, compared to their combustion engine counterparts, but leasing an electrical vehicle is now much more affordable.

Take the electric Hyundai Kona with a range of 268 miles, you can pick one of these up on a 5-year business lease (with 1 month down) on 12,000 miles p.a. for just £295 a month.

Once you consider fuel and maintenance savings, and personal tax savings for the employee, this is a fantastic deal and great for the environment too.

It’s deals like this which are driving the switch to electric vehicles and making business centre landlords consider charging solutions for their tenants.

So, what are business centre landlords going to do?

Well, Rolec provide a cost effective 22KW superfast charger with 2 charging outlets, and when coupled with their back-office software, it provides Landlords with a charging solution their tenants can use with a debit or credit card linked to a smartphone app.

It’s a perfect solution for tenants and landlords, and business centres with a reception function (operated by the landlord) can also claim a £350 grant towards each charge point they install.
